Cowboys and Indian Reservations ('92 Remix)
Last night I did an Emcee spot for JFoxxx at the Tulalip Casino. Feature: Bob Bailey III - Headliner: David Crowe. There were about 7 people in the audience during my set (this does not include the staff or other comics) and a loud ringing in my ears. For what it was, it wasn't too bad. After all, I've worked for PDiddy.
Mr. David Crowe gave me an excellent tag for my centaur joke. He suggests an act-out to follow up, which means I would have to suggest some tequila from the bar-tender before the show. Rule number one in the Hounshell home: Comedic act-outs are only to be done while drunk or on a fishing barge. I just don't know if I'm ready to break the rules.
Mr. David Crowe also gave me some excellent advice regarding writing. Write. Basically. Well, he actually said something more along the lines of, "sit down with your notebook and write five mintues on suckin' on a chili dog." So tonight I'm off to Safeway to grab some chili and dogs for inspiration. I may get out my water colors.
