Saturday I met with the Commander, Cafe Lladro in Freemont if you're interested. If you're not, screw you. I was very close to being on time so I treated myself to a well-deserved lashing and seasalt scrub.

I have to give some "props" here where "props" are due. The Commander has been saying for years that I need to sit down and write. See, the problem is, I thought he was just talking about how I need to stop writing STANDING UP. Typically, when I do this thing called "writing" I DO sit, so I was like, "Umm, whatever 'Commander' - I DO sit down and write. I can't believe that you think I have so much stamina that I would be able to write while standing." Of course, what he MEANT was that I don't write at all. Which is true. Most of the time when I sit I just sit, maybe watch TV, occasionally I'll doodle. But this "writing" thing. Well, it's all new to me.

So, what I mean to say is, that David Crowe is right, but the Commander was right first. So we met and talked about writing and he read to me out of a writing book (which felt very old fashioned and Pride and Prejeduce-y) and I was inspired.
